Combarro’s Meeting 2011

REMADOIRA participated in traditional craft meeting last weekend, which every year organizes the C.M. A Reiboa, during the Festival of the Sea of the beautiful village of Combarro (Pontevedra). Our toped dorn Belida, made a beautiful voyage from Vigo, arriving Combarro the Saturday morning to return on Sunday. During the return trip, 3 yachts went out to meet the Belida in the entrance of the Ria de Vigo, making among all a fun sailing to the dock.

Sailing Samil Beach 2011

On Saturday 30th July, REMADOIRA crafts made a trip to Samil beach in Vigo. The idea was to get to the buoy at the mouth of the river Lagares and return to dock Bouzas. The journey began with the departure of the lateen-sail boats out later relinga-sail ships. The wind was moderate from the south, but irregular because it failed the middle of the bay, which caused the delay of the boats that got into the dead calm. However, the ships sailed close to shore safely arrived to the buoy. These boats endeavored to sail close to de wind to Samil and after the buoy turn, were able to sail parallel to the beaches towards Bouzas.

Beautiful navigation we hope to repeat next year.

Through the Verdugo (Green) River

Hi friends

As in other years, some companions sailed up the river Verdugo. Three of our boats, Taiña, Ria de Vigo and Libertad passed under the bridges of Arcade and Pontesampaio and sailed upstream. Aided by a very high tide and dodging a lot of rocks, manage to naviegate to where it was impossible to sail above. A beautiful journey to this river so green and lush.
