Sailing with 2017

This year, with the Saling Group San Gregorio, we again collaborate with our friends from COGAMI. These guys with disabilities come with us to take a short sailing on our estuary and also to get close and to know about navigation in traditional boats. A pleasure for both them and us.

In the activities of this year 5 exits were programmed, on days 14, 21, 28 of July, 4 and 11 of August.

Launching Celia II

On Saturday the 20th, we organized the launching of our coruxian gamela Celia. After just over one year of work the boat was completely restored. Our thanks to the Ministry of the Sea of the Xunta de Galicia and School A Aixola, Marin, for their cooperation in making the sail, and congratulations to all members of REMADOIRA to make this ship sail again our sea.

The next Saturday 20, will take place in the dock of the Nautical Association San Gregorio, Vigo, the launch of our coruxian gamela Celia. After nearly two years of work the gamela was impeccable.

All those who are interested in our marine culture are invited to the event.

New Sail

On 28 March, the School A Aixola made delivery of a traditional sail for our gamela “Celia,” the boat that we are restoring and in a few weeks she will be ready to sail. We want to give our thanks to Ms. Susana Rodríguez Carballo (Director General for Fisheries Development) and Mr. Lino Lema Bouzas (Head of Fisheries Development) of the Department of the Sea of the Xunta de Galicia, for the efforts undertaken in this project. Of course, we also give our thanks to Enrique and the rest of the crew of A Aixola for the good work done in this sail.
