Another navigation we did this summer with our carocho Taina.

In this sailing out we prepare a long pole to use as a kind of selfie stick and make some very nice shots of our boat.

On July 25, co-REMADOIRA sallied with carocho Taina to the beautiful Cies Islands. The navigation was very nice with a very strong northwest wind, and checking how and seeing how well our carocho sailing with her traditional sail.

We have a new member of the fleet of REMADOIRA. Celia, a gamela from Coruxo of 4.5 meters long. She is not in good condition, so we have to give some affection, repair some pieces of the hull,, deck, benches …

She will be like new.

On Saturday we started working on our latest jewel, the SUSINHO, a boat of the Ria de Vigo launched in 1936.

This boat has the added value of its construction was made from an older boat, so our SUSINHO has design of mid to late of nineteenth century.

The first job was to make her a cradle. After 74 years, the wood is not healthy enough and need more support to prevent the un-nailing as we begin to restore, at the risk of being deformed and lose her shape.
